Responsible for all resources allocated to projects in an industrial custom manufacturing and automation environment. Projects range in value from $250K to $5M and have delivery times ranging from 5 to 12 months.
• Work with clients to ensure project proposal meets expectations;
• Manage and negotiate changes to project scope;
• Work with project planners to prioritize team tasks in a multi-project environment;
• Ensure that project teams adhere strictly to ISO 9001 procedures and manufacturing quality expectations;
• Work proactively to meet or improve timelines and budgets
• Track payments and work to avoid risks of financial exposure;
• Identify risks by collaboration and develop strategies to reduce their impact;

Requirements:
• Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering;
• PMP certification;
• Minimum of 7 years relevant experience;
• Skilled with AutoCad (reading drawings only), Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and management and finance modules of an ERP system;
• Negotiation and conflict resolution;
• Valid passport with no travel restrictions to the United States;
• English and French, spoken and written.

Industrial Engineer - Continuous Improvement - ref.21301IG

Our customer, a manufacturer of electrical and electronic products, is looking for a Plant Engineer who will work on continuous improvement and quality in collaboration with the production planner.
• Design plant and facility layout plans for greater safety and efficiency;
• Study machinery and facilities to recommend efficient solutions;
• Develop flexible or integrated manufacturing systems and methods;
• Study and implement programs aimed at good inventory management for production and optimal use of equipment, materials, resources;
• Oversee continuous improvement programs;
• Conduct time studies and design work simplification programs;
• Study reliability and performance of facilities, as well as production and administration systems;
• Do statistical analyses;
• Train employees in continuous improvement methods;

Applications Engineer - ref.21319SB

Our client is a growing manufacturer of custom automated machines.
• Review technical data and requests for quote (RFQ);
• Develop proposals and commercial documents for the complete range of systems, which may include integration with other post-machining processes such as: drying, cooling, automation, material handling, gauging, inspection and waste treatment;
• Conduct technical reviews and expand on technical content for orders received;
• Provide leadership and offer input for product development;
• Provide technical direction to mechanical engineers, technicians and trades people as required;
• Work with the manufacturing and engineering departments to develop designs that are optimized for ease of manufacturing while still meeting all functional and budgetary requirements;
• Provide customer service to all internal and external customers;

Requirements:
• B. Eng (Mechanical preferred);

• Design and develop models and 3D drawings for manufacturing using Solidworks;
• Verify drawings conform to requirements and design specifications;
• Create and maintain a library of standard drawings for each product;

• Establish 3D documentation for products and standard options;
• Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics;

Our client is a manufacturer of high-end automated machines. They are looking for a R&D Project Manager who will participate fully in the development of the R&D department.
• Develop, research and expand on potential scenarios of assigned R&D projects;
• Expand on concepts and make presentations;
• Establish standard concepts and processes to improve efficiency of new developments;
• Review technical specifications and give instructions to the team assigned to the research project;
• Supervise and participate in the mechanical design, from draft concepts to the final design, inciuding the selection of material;
• Validate and document engineering calculations to support/justify the concepts;
• Verify all drawings associated with assigned projects;
• Work with purchasing department and suppliers on the selection of components;
• Ensure follow-up of concepts in the plant by requesting feedback to improve future concepts and methods;

Electronics Designer (embedded systems for microcontrollers) - ref.21262IG

Our client, a manufacturing company supplying the transportation industry, is looking for a Electronics Designer. The individual will be involved in all stages of development: design, verification, validation, manufacture and implementation.
• Design embedded electronic systems for products based on microcontrollers (STM32 Cortex M3, 8-bit Microchip and AVR32);
• Design and develop custom solutions for customers;
• Design or modify software products;
• Create schemas and, ideally, PCB layout designs (2/4 layers, no VHDL/FPGA);
