Tool and Die Machinist

Our client, a company in the automotive industry, is currently looking for a Tool & Die Machinist. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a key role in the maintenance, repair, and optimization of molds required for efficient production operations. Flexible schedule with possibility of day/evening/night shift.

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and modifications on production molds;
• Operate various conventional machines in the machining department;
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications;
• Perform production setups according to the parts being manufactured;
• Follow SMED system standards and objectives;
• Ensure production equipment efficiency.

Requirements:

• DEP in Machining, Industrial Mechanics or relevant experience;
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role;
• Proficiency with conventional machining tools: lathe, milling machine, and grinder;
• Experience with arc, MIG and TIG welding;
• Ability to perform imperial and metric measurement conversions;
• Experience using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.);
• Evening shift bonus: $1.15/hour, night shift bonus: $2.00/hour;
• French.
