Test Systems Technician

Our client, a manufacturer of lighting products, is looking for a Test System Technician. Reporting to the technical supervisor of production you will be responsible to design, develop, deploy and maintain the automated test systems.

• Design, program, and implement test systems to test manufactured products;
• Develop and maintain automated test benches (hardware and software);
• Participate in the definition of validation and qualification plans;
• Perform diagnostics and failure analysis to support production and development;
• Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality teams to improve testing processes;
• Document procedures, prepare technical reports, and ensure traceability of results.

Requirements:

• DEC in Electronics Technology (computer systems, industrial electronics, or other);
• At least 3 years of experience in developing or operating test systems;
• Knowledge of programming languages (C++ or C# or Python or SQL, or equivalent);
• Excellent understanding of electronic schematics, instrumentation, and test benches;
• Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and product design;
• French and intermediate English (required to communicate with colleagues outside of Quebec and to read manuals).
