Building Engineer - Condominiums

Our client, a certified appraiser, is seeking a Building Engineer specializing in reserve funds and condominiums to develop a market related to condominium associations. The successful candidate will play a key role in producing reserve fund study reports, developing building maintenance logs, and providing technical support to clients.

• Conduct building inspections (residential and multi-residential condominiums);
• Produce contingency fund reports in accordance with regulations and standards;
• Develop and update building maintenance logs;
• Analyze the condition of building components (structure, envelope, mechanical and electrical systems, etc.);
• Estimate the useful life of components and replacement costs;
• Collaborate in the development of new markets (customer approach, standardization of services, improvement of tools);
• Advise condominium associations and answer their technical questions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Building, Civil or Construction Engineering or related field;
• Member of the OIQ;
• Relevant experience in building inspection, condominium management, or building expertise;
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in drafting and calculating contingency plans and maintenance logs for condominium funds;
• Good knowledge of Quebec standards, codes and regulations;
• Knowledge of the legal obligations of condominium associations;
• Access to a vehicle (10% travel in the Greater Montreal area);
• French.
