Manufacturing Technician (fiber optics)

Our client, a manufacturer of fiber optic cables, is looking for a Manufacturing Technician specializing in fiber optic cables.

• Read, understand, and build products according to manufacturing plans and drawings;
• Cut and measure optical fibers;
• Work using different workstations, equipment, machines, and tools (precision knife, microscope, binoculars, magnifying glass, etc.) as required for the assembly;
• Suggest improvements to products, prototypes and manufacturing processes;
• Assist in drafting manufacturing procedures and assembly instructions.

Requirements:

• DEC in Electrical or Electronic Engineering Technology or related field;
• At least 5 years of experience in micro-welding or micro-assembly in the field of fibre optics;
• Experience in a manufacturing environment;
• French, English (technical documentation).
