Engineering Manager

Our client is a civil engineering firm specializing in urban/green infrastructure in Quebec. They are looking for an Engineering Manager. You will be responsible for the team of 5 to 6 engineers/technicians/administrators to design integrated water management structures for parking lots, alleys, streets and neighborhoods in urban areas.

• Prepare and supervise the planning, design, budget estimate and calls for tenders for projects;
• Supervise and carry out partial supervision of the work;
• Supervise the quality of the design team's deliverables;
• Supervise and plan workloads for the design team;
• Determine, verify and supervise project budgets;
• Respect or supervise budgets and deadlines, according to the expected quality standards;
• Produce and verify invoicing;
• Participate in key decisions concerning the design team (new employee, training, etc.);
• Travel for meetings with clients, potential clients, design meetings, site meetings (10 to 25%).

Requirements:

• Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, member of the OIQ;
• 8 to 10 years of experience in municipal engineering or urban hydrology;
• Excellent knowledge of standardized construction practices related to BNQ, MELCCFP and MTQ, as well as Montreal regulations;
• Excellent knowledge of PCSWMM software;
• Solid experience in management, support and technical supervision of staff;
• Good knowledge in hydraulics and urban hydrology;
• Valid driver's license;
• French.
