Cost Estimator

Our client, a specialist demolition and decontamination of buildings, is looking for a Cost Estimator.

• Estimate costs for demolition, asbestos, decontamination and cleanup projects;
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization;
• Assess client needs and recommend appropriate goods and services;
• Analyze requests for proposals and read plans and specifications;
• Estimate probable costs of materials, labor, equipment and subcontracting;
• Prepare, write and administer proposals and contracts;
• Communicate and negotiate with suppliers, clients, subcontractors, etc.;
• Implement and maintain systems and procedures for submission, control and reporting;
• Visit current sites and request for proposal sites.

Requirements:

• AEC in Construction and Renovation Estimating;
• At least 4 years of experience in estimating building or construction costs (residential, commercial or industrial);
• Proficient with MS Office suite;
• Valid class 5 driver's license and access to a vehicle (10 to 15% travel);
• Asset: ASP card;
• French.
