Engineer IP/MPLS Solutions

Our client is an engineering consulting firm specialized in telecommunications projects. They are looking for candidates with design and engineering experience, especially as a specialist in IP/MPLS solutions.
Under the supervision of the Engineering Manager - Telecommunications Infrastructure and IP Solutions -

• Participate in planning, design and engineering detailing;
• Perform technical surveys;
• Participate in the design of plans, specifications and technical documents according to the client's standards;
• Analyze and solve technical problems;
• Participate in project review meetings;
• Collaborate with other technical disciplines;
• Provide technical support to the client.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering;
• Member of the OIQ;
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in either network and IP solution, or optoelectronic equipment (transport and access networks);
• Technical knowledge in the field of telecommunications and IP networks;
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of concepts specific to IP engineering;
• Good ability in technical writing;
• Computer skills and basic software - Microsoft Office, Visio, AutoCAD.
• Assets: Knowledge of IP/MPLS network management, certification CCNA, NNCP or equivalent, knowledge of the standards of the telecommunications industry, cable television and Hydro-Québec;
• Available to travel anywhere in Quebec;
• Excellent French and good English, spoken and written.

Status: TEMPORARY position, 8 to 9 months, with possibility of permanence.
